Water Temperature |
|
Keep the temperature of your hydroponic solution about 75°F. Anything higher than 80°F can damage roots, but cold water slows plant growth. Adding an aquarium heater to your reservoir will keep roots warm all winter long! Use at least 5 watts of power per gallon for best results. Aquarium Heaters
Aquarium thermometerPlace this small floating thermometer (with suction cup) inside your tank to read water temperature.
Propagation Heat MatsUse a heat mat to warm up your seedlings and cuttings during cool weather. Fits under a standard propagation tray, or under a small hydroponic system reservoir. No temperature control.
Gro MatsThese heavy duty propagation heat mats feature a wire guard to protect propagation trays, seedlings, and cuttings from overheating during use. Use with or without a thermostat.
Hydrofarm Heat Mat ThermostatJust place the remote sensor into your medium, set the dial to the desired temperature, and this thermostat maintains the perfect temperature for your young plants. Controls up to 500 watts of equipment. Can control multiple heating mats as long as they are in the same location and set to the same temperature.
